I coded 24-hour diet recalls and kept detailed records for the LiveWell project (a community based participatory intervention to moderate or reduce weight gain in new immigrant mothers) using the Nutrition Data System for Research (NSDR). I organized meetings when problem recalls emerged to discuss strategies on how to manage them. In November 2012 I created an intervention with the dietitians who recorded the recalls for future trainings on how to enter the recalls on NDSR to improve accuracy and reduce problem recalls. My association with Tufts allowed me to connect with many Dietitians who also worked there. The Dietitians allowed me to shadow them while administering 24-hour diet recalls on patients involved in a study on HIV/AIDS. Through those experiences I was able to observe a day in the life of a Senior Research Dietitian.
